MEET OUR FOUNDER
Dr. Lulu (Uchenna Umeh, MD, MBA, FAAP) is a pediatrician, educator, speaker, and nationally recognized advocate for LGBTQ+ affirmation.
With more than three decades of experience in medicine and education, Dr. Lulu has dedicated her career to improving outcomes for LGBTQ+ individuals through education, advocacy, and community engagement.
She founded Dr. Lulu’s Angels Haven, Inc. to expand affirming education beyond clinical spaces and into communities, helping individuals and institutions create environments where LGBTQ+ people are affirmed, respected, and supported.

Our mission is to advance LGBTQ+ affirmation and inclusion through education, community engagement, and advocacy. We create affirming educational spaces that empower individuals, families, professionals, and organizations to support LGBTQ+ people with confidence and compassion.

We envision a world where LGBTQ+ individuals are affirmed in every environment—healthcare, education, family, workplace, and community—and where affirmation is the standard, not the exception.
